Learn to use your Windows Live Calendar — fast

Using your Windows Live Calendar is easy! Here are a few tips and tricks that will accelerate your experience.

Adding events

To add an event or appointment to your calendar, simply drag the mouse to define a block of time and then click +Add or double-click. Just like that, your event is scheduled!

You can also go to the New menu, click Social event, and then invite friends to your happening. This will create an event in Windows Live Spaces, which you can add to your Windows Live Calendar.

Rescheduling events

Sometimes schedules change and events need to be rescheduled. To move an event in your Windows Live Calendar, click the event and drag it to its new date and time. If the duration of an event needs to be changed, click and drag the event's border to expand or decrease it. You can edit an event's details directly by clicking the event title.

Viewing events

You can quickly see an event's details by hovering over the event on the calendar. Want a custom printout of your calendar? Go to your calendar's agenda view and click the calendar icons in the heading to set the start and end dates of the calendar period you'd like to print.
